Why have artists, musicians, and thinkers over the centuries swooned towards the night? Why is solitude so fruitful for the creative process? Harry Yeff, aka Reeps One presents his second major exhibition, Late Nights Early Mornings.
Yeff celebrates this hidden world with a series of nocturnal discoveries and their manifestations.
Late Nights Early Mornings is the first multimedia exhibition at House of Vans devoted to artistic works born after dark. The unique collection explores the profound relationship between inspiration and seclusion, creativity and obscurity, and fragility with measures of time.
Lining the venue’s subterranean halls, visitors will encounter an eclectic mixture of giant origami, sleep-themed sculpture, fine art and sensory works.
Yeff will celebrate with two live performances: a talk partnered with an exclusive showing of his evocative audio installation, ‘The Heart Collection’ - an album of recorded heartbeats which produces a bizarre and surprising effect on listeners, and a portion of his “Reeps One AV” show. This exclusive performance will take place in House of Vans 100-seat Cinema space.
House of Vans will host a private view on Thursday 27th August 2015.
Exhibition runs from Thursday 27th August until the 13th September.
