Olympic Inspired Street Art in Islington

I took a visit over to Islington yesterday to have a look at this series of three street art pieces created to celebrating the London Olympics 2012 Games by Czech artists Point and Pasta Oner and UK artist Inkie. The three pieces of work are on displayed on the wall along the Regents Canal footpath leading to Stratford, the site of the London 2012 Olympic Park.

This is a rare opportunity for you street art lovers to see the innovative world of Czech graffiti culture up close and in tandem with one of the UK’s most prominent street artists. The artist have been creating the work over several days and members of the public were invited to come along and watch the artists at work which began on Wednesday, 11th April and is set to finish today Friday, 13th April. The results of this exciting Czech – UK collaboration will remain in place until the end of the London Paralympic Games in September 2012. The event is part of the Czech Open 2012, a Czech cultural season in Islington. Here are a few pictures we took yesterday afternoon.

LOCATION: City Road Basin, Islington, London
