Giles Walker's extraordinary Last Supper has finished it's run at Black Rat Projects. A fully animated sculpture consisting of thirteen mechanical figures who interact around a table. A year in the making, this remarkable work was simultaneously humorous and frightening. The Last Supper surpasses the audience's initial interest in the robotic elements of the piece and draws us into the questions it poses and the all too human aspects it addresses. If you missed the opportunity to experience it, have a look at this video.
The Last Supper will also be traveling to America this coming September, to be displayed in a gallery in Los Angeles - more details to follow closer to it's trans-Atlantic premier.
