Last night saw Red Stripe take over Village Underground in East London for the launch of the Red Stripe culture series which featured maverick sound artist Yuri Suzuki's piece 'Make Something From Nothing' - a fully functioning 2.5m high sound sculpture made out of thousands of recycled Red Stripe cans collected at this years Notting Hill Carnival.
Playing the tunes were DJs Ben UFO, MC Chunky, Al Fingers and Spencer all played through Suzuki's impressive DIY sound sculpture which draws inspiration from towering, bass heavy Jamaican sound systems. Check out some of our pictures from the launch and have a watch of the video below which follows Yuri Suzuki during the construction of the sound system.
